Moon-Force 1 by Janelle M. Adams is a magical story about Mesa White and her journey to her home planet of Satellite. Mesa lost her memory, and she did not even realize it. When she meets Ethan, a boy with magical powers, he claims to know her, and he transports her to the magical planet. Ethan tells her that she is the princess of this planet and is destined to save her people. He also informs her that she has magical powers that she will use to defeat Mirwilla, who has taken over the planet. Mesa, Ethan, and their friends join forces to defeat Mirwilla. Will they succeed and will Mesa ever be able to see her Earth mom and dad again?Moon-Force 1 has all the makings of a cartoon series, with a resolute villain and a strong-willed team of heroes. The story is fast-paced and has no dull moments. From the moment I met Mesa and Ethan, I realized there was something beautiful between them. I loved the story about their childhood and the good times they shared in the castle. It gave more weight to their connection. The scenes where Mesa transformed to prepare for battle were beautifully described. The book also includes illustrations that helped me envisage the characters. Even when it felt as if all hope was lost, Mesa kept fighting. I hope to read more from Janelle M. Adams because the story has many possibilities. The ending was left open, which provides the opportunity for more books in this series."
