Great activities for homeschool families and teachers to celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving!

For the acrostic poems, kids can think of things they are thankful for by listing things that being with each letter of the words turkey and thankful. For example:

T teacher

H house

A Aunt Jenny

N no school (answer provided by my teenage daughter, lol)

K kind people

F friends

U umbrella when it rains

L ladybugs

Or for turkey:

T turtles

U universe

R recycling

K kindness

E elephants

Y yellow bananas

Since U will probably be a difficult one, here are a few suggestions: unconditional love; upbeat people; understanding; uplifting messages; unselfish people; unlimited; undefeated; unbelievable; unafraid; useful.
